This travel blog began one Sunday when I was having brunch in New York with close friends from around the world. The discussion inevitably got onto travel and as I didn’t have my usual diary in which I keep my travel notes, I wrote the travel tips we shared on the paper tablecloth. And thus tablecloth tips was born where I share our personal travel tips and experiences with you.

What a great idea! I look forward to seeing this blog grow with tips from around the world as I always find personal tips really add to travel. And I’ll be sure to add mine whenever I’m on the road – or even just from my own town, Johannesburg.

Hi Kim. I finally made it to your site and have been catching up on your travels and your tribe for the last hour. Well done and keep it up. I didn’t see anything about the Grenadier pub in London. obviously a case of amnesia after a few pints there! Cheers, KC.
